Turin

Chicago shop-associated bicycle label with own-brand roots in the 1970s.
Turin is a Chicago-associated bicycle house brand whose local shop origins date to 1965 and whose own-label bikes appeared in the 1970s.
Company history
Turin Bicycle began serving the Chicago-area cycling community in 1965. Bicycle Retailer reports that partners Alan Fine and Lee Katz imported bicycles for sale under the shop's own brand during the 1970s; around 1980 the business shifted away from its own bikes. A Chicago shop announced a return to the Turin bicycle brand in 2012. The current Turin Bicycle site documents the continuing Chicago shop, but current production under the Turin label is unconfirmed.
