Triumph Cycle

Triumph Cycle was a British bicycle manufacturer and marque whose roadsters linked the original Coventry enterprise with later Raleigh production in Nottingham.
Company history
Siegfried Bettmann adopted the Triumph Cycle Company name in 1886 after beginning a bicycle-trading business in London. The company moved into Coventry manufacturing and produced its own bicycles from 1894, then diversified into motorcycles and cars. The bicycle division changed hands after 1939; Currys sold Triumph to Raleigh in 1954, after which Triumph bicycles were produced in Nottingham and the marque continued under Raleigh.
