Steve Potts is an American custom bicycle builder and mountain-bike pioneer, handcrafting titanium and steel road, cyclocross, and mountain frames.
Company history
Growing up near Mount Tamalpais in California, Potts built his first bicycles in his high-school machine shop. A 1980 riding trip to New Zealand convinced him to make framebuilding his vocation; he later co-founded Wilderness Trail Bikes in 1982 and, after leaving WTB in 2000, continued building custom bicycles from his own workshop. His current shop is in Etna, California.
