Company history
Standard Byke Company was founded in Davenport, Iowa, in 1991 in response to concerns about BMX product quality. The company built its identity around rider-tested equipment and U.S. manufacturing, and introduced early innovations such as production BMX frames using a threadless fork-and-stem system. In 2007 it opened its own Davenport manufacturing facility, enabling in-house production and custom, made-to-order frames.
