A German bicycle marque with roots in practical touring and everyday mobility.
Staiger is a historic German bicycle marque associated with touring and trekking bikes, known for practical, well-equipped bicycles for daily mobility and longer rides.
Company history
Paul Staiger opened his first bicycle shop in Stuttgart in 1898, and the business grew into a bicycle wholesaler and manufacturer. Winora acquired the Staiger bicycle brand in 1988, moving production from the Stuttgart area to Schweinfurt; later models emphasized comfortable trekking and touring. The brand’s surviving catalog and public history document its legacy, but current standalone operations and a dedicated website could not be confirmed.
