Company history
In 1973, Romagna cycling enthusiast Oliviero Gallegati began building custom racing bicycles in Lugo and named his enterprise SOMEC, from Società Meccanica. Initially made for local riders, the hand-built bikes attracted international customers through trade shows. The company continues the custom-frame tradition from its workshop in S. Agata sul Santerno, offering made-to-measure road and gravel frames in modern materials.
