Company history
Founder Deon Retief started Silverback in 2004 after years working in the bicycle industry and visiting hundreds of independent dealers worldwide. He launched the brand in Stuttgart, Germany, with a goal of combining proprietary technologies, considered design, and accessible pricing. Silverback has since built an international operation with its German innovation center complemented by South African and North American teams.
