Company history
BMX riders Greg “Scott” Swingrover and Chris “Mad Dog” Moeller founded S&M Bikes in 1987 to build frames that could stand up to hard racing and dirt-jump use. Their first K-9 D-Zine frame led to a line of rider-developed products, including the Slam Bar and Dirtbike. Chris Moeller continued the company after Swingrover left in 1990, keeping its independent, rider-owned approach in Santa Ana, California.
