Company history
The seeds of Rapidé were planted in 2009 with a direct-to-rider model intended to avoid traditional retail and distributor mark-ups. Managed by lifelong riders with experience across BMX, track, road, triathlon, and mountain biking, the company built its own identity around practical design, real-world testing, and attainable pricing. Its catalogue expanded from individual components into frames, forks, wheel systems, drivetrain parts, controls, saddles, dropper posts, tools, and tubeless equipment, with Rapidé designing and developing its own products whenever possible and selling them directly from Cape Town.
