Primus Mootry

Primus Mootry was a Colorado custom-frame workshop known for handbuilt steel, aluminium, carbon, and titanium road, cyclocross, track, and mountain bicycles.
Company history
Joe DePaemelaere founded Primus Mootry in Longmont in 1994 and developed it as a small custom shop rather than a volume bicycle marque. The workshop built made-to-measure road, cyclocross, track, time-trial, commuter, and mountain frames in steel, aluminium, titanium, and mixed carbon constructions. Primus Mootry became especially visible through its support of elite cyclocross racers, including Katie Compton and Amy Dombroski, and was noted for rider-specific geometry, TIG-welded fabrication, and distinctive paint and decal work. By 2017 it no longer offered frames to the general public, although DePaemelaere still made occasional personal projects.
