Company history
Founder Kyle Doerksen began prototyping the single-wheel electric board after moving to California, then launched the project on Kickstarter in 2013. The first production Onewheel followed in 2014, and Future Motion expanded the line with models including the Onewheel+ and Pint. The company says its manufacturing line is in San Jose, California, where it builds the boards in the United States.
