Nishiki is a bicycle brand offering accessible mountain, hybrid, and comfort bikes, with a heritage spanning Japanese-built sport bicycles and modern U.S. distribution.
Company history
The Nishiki name was introduced in 1965 by California-based West Coast Cycle for bicycles initially manufactured by Kawamura Cycle in Kobe, Japan. The brand later passed through several ownership and production chapters, including Derby Cycle and Accell. Its current U.S. range is specified and distributed by West Coast Cycle, while the Nishiki name is also used by an independent Swedish brand.
