Company history
A group of cycling enthusiasts founded the Müsing bicycle brand in 1988 to build light, stiff, comfortable frames for competitive riders. Its first Izalco road model appeared in 1989, and the range later expanded into mountain, trekking, and other performance bikes. The brand became associated with customizable builds and hand-finished bikes; its later operating company, Radsportvertrieb Ditmar Bayer, was based in Freirachdorf, Westerwald.
