Mondia logo

Historic Swiss bicycles from Balsthal, including racing and mountain models.

Mondia was a Swiss bicycle brand known for road, racing, and later mountain bikes, produced by the Jeker-Haefeli company in Balsthal.

Company history

Jeker-Haefeli & Cie began assembling bicycles under the Mondia name in Balsthal in 1933 and entered racing-bike production in 1936. The company expanded its factory and product range over the following decades, including mountain bikes from 1992. Bicycle production moved away from Balsthal in 2001, stopped in 2013, and the Mondia bicycle trademark was transferred during the 2014 bankruptcy proceedings. The former bicycle manufacturer is not the unrelated Mondia watch brand.
