MirraCo
MirraCo was Dave Mirra's rider-owned BMX company, producing freestyle, street, park, dirt, race, and youth bicycles shaped by its professional team and distributed through independent bike shops.
Company history
BMX champion Dave Mirra and former Haro president Jim Ford formed MirraCo in January 2006 after Mirra's decade with Haro. The Carlsbad office controlled product development, geometry, graphics, riders, and promotion, while Trek handled sourcing, sales, and dealer distribution. MirraCo launched in summer 2006 and quickly became one of the leading independent-bike-shop BMX brands, fielding complete bikes and frames for freestyle disciplines alongside smaller 12- and 16-inch children's models. After Mirra's death in 2016, the company announced that the MirraCo name would retire in late spring 2017 as its bicycle programme shifted to the Mirra brand and a licensing model supporting youth cycling.
