Micajah C. Henley's Richmond company produced Henley safety bicycles alongside the roller skates and mechanical goods on which his manufacturing business was built.
Company history
Henley Bicycle Company was formed in 1895 and launched a complete line of women's, men's racing, and tandem bicycles for the 1896 season. Sales weakened after the bicycle boom, and the bicycle company disappeared from Richmond directories after 1904 while Henley Manufacturing continued with roller skates and other products.
