Maraton

A Swedish bicycle marque tracing its history to the J. Benson cycle business.
Maraton is a Swedish bicycle name with roots in Malmö's J. Benson cycle business and a later revival as a Swedish retail-group brand.
Company history
John Bensson established AB J. Benson in Malmö in 1899; the company later sold bicycles under the Maraton name, initially also spelled Marathon. Production and assembly moved between Malmö and Torshälla, and MCB acquired the company in 1984. The historical record says the Maraton trademark was taken over in 2012 by the Swedish independent-dealer group Tvåhjulsmästarna. The current brand's standalone site could not be confirmed.
