Gormully & Jeffery

Gormully & Jeffery was a pioneering Chicago bicycle manufacturer best known for Rambler bicycles and high-quality brazed construction.
Company history
Thomas B. Jeffery and R. Philip Gormully founded Gormully & Jeffery in Chicago in 1879, initially producing children's bicycles before developing the Rambler line. The company helped establish American cycle manufacturing and successfully challenged restrictive bicycle patent licensing. It grew into one of the country's largest bicycle makers before being sold to the American Bicycle Company in 1900 as Jeffery turned to automobile production.
