Currys

Currys began as a Leicester bicycle maker and retailer before evolving into the British electrical-goods group that still carries the name.
Company history
Henry Curry founded the Curry Cycle Co in Leicester in 1884 and opened his first shop in 1888. Currys closed its own cycle factory in 1932 but continued selling Hercules-built bicycles under the Currys name into the 1960s.
