Breakbrake17 Bicycle Co. logo

Breakbrake17 was a Taipei fixed-gear shop and bicycle label known for urban track, freestyle, and street frames, forks, handlebars, and components developed within Taiwan's emerging fixed-gear scene.

Company history

Breakbrake17 was established in Taipei in 2008 by Cogwei as Taiwan's first dedicated fixed-gear shop. It introduced international fixed-gear culture and parts to local riders while developing its own frames and components under the Breakbrake17 name and the related Spike Parts label. The range included the Charmer freestyle platform, the Columbus-chromoly Transfer street and track frame, carbon-forked Karma, and fixed-gear bars and forks. Its shop also served as a workshop and community point where riders could use tools and receive specialist single-speed advice. The original business is now defunct, but a reliable closure year has not been established.
