Company history
Birdy originated in 1992 as Markus Riese’s folding-bike concept. An aluminium prototype won a special prize in 1993, and the bicycle went on sale in Germany, Japan and the United States after June 1995. It was designed by Riese & Müller and is manufactured by Pacific Cycles in Taiwan.
